Power Outage Hits Uptown Saint John

There has been a power outage in the south end of Saint John this morning.

There was a power surge for a few seconds just before 9 and then the power went out shortly after 9 am.

At its peak, 1050 customers of Saint John Energy were affected.

CHSJ News has learned the cause of the fire is a burned wire on Wellington Row.

Saint John energy crews are on scene doing the switchover in hopes of quickly getting power restored.
