Bulky Items Pick-Up Program Resumes

Saint John’s regular bulky items pick-up program will resume May 6 after being put on hold due to the pandemic.

Anyone who receives residential garbage collection can get special pick-up to dispose of “bulky” items twice a year.

That includes things like furniture, mattresses, boxes, barbecues, carpets and pieces of fencing.

Residents must pre-register each item by calling the city at 658-4455 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday.

The city is asking people to be patient as staff deal with any potential backlogs in service requests.
