Buy and Make Canadian

No Grinch living next door is going to steal our country. Since the second World War US and Canada have been great friends and trading partners .

Like Ukraine we have a bully next door from a much bigger country wanting to take our country.I always found bullies can’t stand it when you put up your “dukes “ and don’t back down.

Up until the end of the Second World War we made, created things using our intellect, design, work ethic and creativity then we became a “ branch plant economy”. We became too dependent.

Your purchasing power is strength.

We have got to get back creating and making more Canadian products and finding new markets to sell them to.

We have the largest dry dock in Canada(once in the world) sitting empty, once our largest employer.

Saint John has always played a major role in Canada’s Strength. The largest group of our country’s first refugees – exiled American refugees – The Loyalist, came to Saint John and they survived with the help of the Wolastoqui people.

We have the longest coast line in the world and built the “fastest ship in the world” with one of the largest fleets in the world. Americans are our neighbours,5 US Presidents wanted to take over Canada and the Americans have invaded us 3 times. Some US Presidents brought in tariffs with a disastrous affect. President Hoover kept them for a number of years and that helped to lengthen the Great Depression of the 1930s.A tariff is a tax.

We can not be weak, bullies only respond to strength and tenacity.

We have to be more independent and entrepreneurial and be able to defend ourselves. We were world traders.

Lets make Saint John and Canada Stronger.

Like Canada,Saint John has given up all of our power, money and decision making and that has really hurt Saint John!

Love ❤️🇨🇦 Canada, Love Saint John,NB
