Campers In Atlantic Canada Are Gearing Up For The Camping Season To Officially Start

It may be raining, but camping season is in the air.

Whether it be a tent, a pop-up or a full fledged RV, campers are getting set to start the season next weekend.

Cornwall KOA Owner Donna Sentner says they’ve already had a few intrepid campers.

She adds camping is a great way to make family memories.

“There’s nothing better than to have a little child come up to you say, I remember doing this with you guys, or I made a tye-dye shirt with you three years ago and now I want to make another one,” says Sentner.

She says camping has meant a lot of new friends for her family.

“We get them from all over the world, it’s totally amazing.” says Sentner. “Our children have grown up in campgrounds, and they have friends in Australia, Japan, China, all over the world and now today with the media they still stay in touch with these people.”

She adds this particular campground has special memories for her and her husband Kent.

“We actually worked there when we were in university, and five years ago we were approached to run it, and we took over running it and it’s been a joy ever since,” says Sentner.
