Canada Day Celebrations Across Saint John and Surrounding Communities

flag of Canada

Canada Day is this Wednesday, July 1st, and there are plenty of ways to celebrate our nation’s birthday across Saint John and the surrounding communities!

In Saint John, the waterfront comes alive with family-friendly activities, live entertainment, food vendors, and an evening fireworks display over the harbour. It’s one of the region’s biggest Canada Day celebrations, drawing thousands of residents and visitors alike.

In Quispamsis and Rothesay, families can enjoy community events featuring live music, children’s activities, games, and local entertainment throughout the day.

Over in Saint Andrews, the celebration begins with a firefighters’ pancake breakfast, followed by the annual flag raising, live entertainment, family activities, and a special evening concert by East Coast favourite Jimmy Rankin.

St. Stephen is also celebrating with a lively waterfront event featuring local vendors, live Celtic music, face painting, a community barbecue, and, of course, birthday cake for Canada.

No matter where you choose to celebrate, Canada Day is a chance to come together with family, friends, and neighbours while reflecting on what makes this country such a wonderful place to call home.

From all of us, have a safe, fun, and Happy Canada Day!
