Canada Makes History At FIFA Women’s World Cup With Newly Introduced Technology

The Women’s World Cup is underway this week with advanced goal-line technology.

Moncton Venue General Manager Stephane Delisle says it’s something that hasen’t been used before.

Delisle says it’s a video based system that uses multiple camera angles to determine whether or not a goal is scored, if it’s debatable.

Officials wear two watches, one dedicated to goal-line technology, vibrates and rings to cleary identify if a goal is scored.

It’s the debut appearance of goal-line technology at a FIFA Women’s World Cup.
