Minacs call centre in Bathurst is closing, despite receiving $1.5 million dollars from the provincial government four years ago.
New Brunswick NDP leader Dominic Cardy tells CHSJ news the call centre was supposed to create 200 jobs, instead only 70 jobs were created only to be lost four years later.
Cardy says the lack of transparency is frustrating when taxpayers money is being squandered on jobs that only last four years.
Cardy says we need to get our literacy rates up to allow us to contribute to the modern economy.
