Cardy Says Corporate Welfare Money Would Be Better Spent Elsewhere

Dominic Cardy says the money used to bring businesses to New Brunswick would be better spent elsewhere.

The Provincial NDP Leader says the Auditor General has been really clear that there has never been any real assessment on whethor or not corporate welfare really works.

Cardy says the government is considering cuts to health care and education at a time when we are giving more and more money out to companies.

He says the Liberals don’t want to get rid of it because it benefits them politically and he says the Tories won’t go after the Liberals for it because it benefits them politically when they are in power.

Cardy says most people agree these incentives do not help grow the economy and don’t keep people and don’t bring businesses here.
