CBSA Makes Significant Seizure At Woodstock Border

A large seizure of cash by the Canada Border Services Agency.

Almost $293,000 in cash was seized by CBSA officers on April 4th at the Woodstock, New Brunswick, border.

Funds were suspected of being proceeds of crime.

The money was located with the help of Detector dog Keo, who searched a hidden compartment within a vehicle.

A 43-year-old man from Hopewell Cape was arrested by released while police continue to investigate.

Members of the RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Border Integrity Unit have taken the lead on the investigation to determine the origins of the money.
