The new Chair of the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce for the next year is Pizza Hut owner Dick Daigle.
He’s upfront about what he thinks of the province extending the moratorium on shale gas development indefinitely, calling it “highly disappointing”
Daigle told the Chamber’s annual meeting Saint John is known to have too many voices with many different priorities. As a result, politicians have viewed this lack of clarity with confusion, resulting in them not clearly knowing what our region wants and in what order we want it.
Daigle sees improvement happening with the local economy starting with the port.
