Chamber To Honour Outstanding Businesses

Members of The Saint John Region Chamber will honour several firms and entrepreneurs Thursday night.

The Outstanding Business Awards will be handed out at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre.

Now into its 35th year, the gala honours the Saint John region’s most dynamic and significant contributors in seven categories.

The three finalists in the Business Excellence category are Italian by Night, On the Vine, and Thandi Restaurant.

The three finalists in the Entrepreneurial Achievement category are Duke Creative Collective, Natasha’s Wedding and Events, and The Chapman Group.

The three finalists in the Emerging Enterprise category are Huddle.Today, Saint John Tool Library, and The Zesty Lemon.

Finalists were selected by an independent judging panel based on factors which included sales growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, marketing, human resources, community relations, environmental initiatives, and other achievements.

Chamber officials previously announced the recipients of four other awards.

Joe MacKay of Yip Cider will receive the Young Entrepreneur Award, the Chair’s Award will go to Area 506, Canaport LNG will get the Big Heart Award, and the Developer Award will go to Cooke Aquaculture.

The annual gala attracts between 400 and 500 of the city’s business and community leaders.
