Remembrance Day ceremonies will look quite different this year because of COVID-19 restrictions.
Saint John cancelled its usual event at TD Station but is holding a scaled-down ceremony in King’s Square.
It will be limited to about 50 attendees and the general public is asked not to attend.
Those who wish to pay their respects to veterans, military members and first responders can take part in a Remembrance Day Roll-Pass at the arena.
Residents are asked to assemble in their vehicles in the parking lot at the Rothesay Avenue Superstore at 12:15 p.m., using the Thorne Street entrance. A procession escorted by the Saint John Police Force will make its way to TD Station at 1 p.m., where veterans, representatives of local military units and first responders will be positioned.
A Remembrance Day ceremony will take place at the East Saint John Cenotaph in the Jervis Bay-Ross Memorial Park on Graham Street at 11 a.m. The service will be shortened due to COVID-19.
The Kennebecasis Valley ceremony which takes place at the qplex in Quispamsis has also been cancelled, along with the usual ceremony in Grand Bay-Westfield.
Small ceremonies will take place in the towns of Hampton and Sussex but are by invite only.
The ceremonies at the St. Stephen Cenotaph on Milltown Bouland the Milltown Cenotaph at the corner of Queensway and Church Street are going ahead.
St. George is also holding a ceremony at the Legion but it will be limited to 100 people.
There will be no in-person service in Saint Andrews this year.
