Charges Laid After Shots Fired At Apartment

Saint John police say charges have been laid after shots were fire at an uptown apartment building.

Officers were called to Peters Street just after 3 a.m. Thursday, where they took several people into custody.

On Friday, police announced Bryan Cogswell, 37, is facing a charge of discharging a firearm. A bail hearing has been set for Monday.

A 31-year-old woman was released from custody and will return to court later to face charges.

Police say a 38-year-old man was also released from custody, but later reterned to jail as his parole has been revoked.

No one was injured in the incident, which remains under investigation.
