First Steps Executive Director Sharon Amirault tells CHSJ News last year’s event brought in over 30,000 for their centre that helps pregnant young women and their babies.
She says they fundraise about $200,000 dollars a year to keep their doors open and to meet the basic needs of the women and children who live there including food, transportation and clothing.
The event runs rain or shine on Long Wharf from 10am to 3pm.
One of the Big Pink buses that takes cruise ship passengers around the city will be wrapped like Thomas the Tank Engine.
