Cherry Brook Zoo Needs Help To Paint Its Buildings

If you’re looking for a family activity this weekend, why not help the Cherry Brook Zoo freshen up their buildings.

Sherwin-Williams is partnering with the zoo as part of their National Painting Week community project.

Martha McDevitt is the zoo’s executive director and tells us the paint store is donating all of the paint and supplies — they just need the volunteers.

“We already have over 40 people who have registered at the zoo and then I think another 20 that have registered right through Sherwin-Williams,” she says.

McDevitt says this project is great because they want residents to feel as though they also have ownership of the zoo.

They’ll be painting from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday but you don’t need to stay for the full day.
