A nice honour from the Children’s Wish foundation for Country 94 and the Wave.
Director Gerry Beresford tells us Acadia Broadcasting received the Valued Partner award its for all the support of their fundraisers and other events.
He says not only do the radio stations agree to do a sponsorship but the announcers come out to support their events and say wonderful things about the Wish foundation.
Beresford says they expect a 20 per cent increase in wishes this year which means more fundraising adding they have never had to say no to a wish child.
A ceremony was held at 58 King Street this morning where the award was presented to General Manager David Boone by Children’s Wish board chair Carley Parish.
