Christmas Day Fire Damages Fredericton Duplex

A pre-dawn fire on Christmas Day forced a family of four from their home on the south side of Fredericton.

Emergency crews were called to a two-storey duplex on Parkside Drive shortly after 5 a.m. Friday.

The Canadian Red Cross says the fire caused extensive damage to their side of the duplex.

The organization is helping the woman and three children with emergency lodging and other essentials.

No injuries have been reported.
