Saint John city council agreeing to hold a brainstorming session in hopes of finding ways to generate more revenue from parking.
Councillor Gerry Lowe says too many people are getting away with paying little to nothing for parking.
Lowe says the South Central Peninsula has roughly 50 blocks of free parking.
He says the city could make money by using the Peel Plaza Parking Garage to store vehicles during the winter months.
The session will involve city council, police and parking commissions and city department heads.
The meeting will be held sometime next month.
