City Seeking Input On Waterfront Projects

Saint Johners will have the chance to provide input on several projects along the uptown waterfront.

The city is hosting an event at the Market Square Atrium from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday.

Initial design concepts will be unveiled for the public space along Market Slip, the Harbour Passage extension, and the pedway connection.

It is all part of a $27-million investment to redevelop the Fundy Quay site and renew surrounding public space.

Residents will also get to view initial designs for the proposed Fundy Quay development itself.

The proposed multi-use development featuring commercial and residential spaces is being led by local developer Dr. David Elias.

The full cost of the Fundy Quay project is anticipated to be in the magnitude of $300 million.

You must RSVP for Monday’s event by emailing feedback@saintjohn.ca. Attendees will be required to wear a mask and show proof of vaccination and photo ID to enter.
