CMHA Launches Mental Health Week

One in five Canadians experience a mental health problem or illness.

This is Mental Health Week and the Canadian Mental Health Association is urging you to speak up and “Get Loud”.

Moncton spokesperson Corey Ferguson says CMHA does a variety of things in the community but mainly focuses on educational and support groups.

“We offer a variety of different groups depending on need and interest… all free for the community… through funding and through grant applications and fundraising efforts. We also do community events and we also do advocacy and education,” she notes.

When talking about mental health on social media this week, you are encouraged to use the hashtag #GETLOUD.
