Saint John police say a concerned citizen led them to recover a stolen vehicle over the weekend.
Police say they received reports of a vehicle being stolen in the north end around noon on Sunday.
Four hours later, officers responding to a call of suspicious activity on the east side found the vehicle.
“A man near the vehicle fled into a wooded area but was soon taken into custody,” police said in a news release Tuesday.
According to police, a 45-year-old man has a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday.
