Conservative candidate for Saint John-Rothesay Rodney Weston unveiling the four key priorities he says he’ll focus on if re-elected at his campaign office on King Street.
They are the Energy East pipeline, community infrastructure, harbourfront improvements and modernization of the airport.
Weston tells us a lot of our airport business is going to be driven by the projects that come this way and says “we need to have an airport that is able to compete and allow the most modern airfleet to come in and out of Saint John.”
He is committing to work to gain access to Partridge Island, saying “it’s a part of our heritage that needs to be recognized” and noting the island’s “mystique.” He tells us “people want to visit Partridge Island and absorb that heritage.”
Weston says he believes it’s very important politicians spell out clearly what it is they intend to do if they’re elected.
