After hours of voting it came down to the Saskatchewan MP.
Scheer will lead his party into the next election in 2019 against Justin Trudeau and the Liberal party.

Scheer beat out his closest leadership rival Quebec MP Maxime Bernier.
He is going to replace interim leader Rona Ambrose who recently announced her retirement from politics.
