Considerable drop expected at N.B. fuel pumps

If your vehicle is running low on fuel, you may want to wait until Friday to fuel up.

An industry source says fuel prices will see a considerable drop on Thursday night.

Gasoline prices are expected to fall by around seven cents per litre.

The price of diesel should also come down by approximately four cents per litre.

Currently, New Brunswickers are paying a maximum of $1.70 per litre for regular self-serve, $1.69 per litre for diesel and $1.40 per litre for home heating oil.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.68 to $1.73 per litre while diesel is selling for between $1.67 and $1.72 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.73 per litre, diesel costs around $1.75 per litre and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.20 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
