Crews will be doing asphalt resurfacing on part of McAllister Drive in Saint John later this week.
City officials said traffic will be reduced to two lanes between Rothesay Avenue and Westmorland Road.
The work is expected to take place from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from Wednesday until Friday.
Drivers are asked to plan their route accordingly, reduce speeds in construction zones, and drive safely.
