An inmate at Dorchester Penitentiary has been caught trying to smuggle contraband into the prison.
Correctional officers say hashish, steroids, needles and syringes were included in the seizure.
The total value of the seizure is estimated at $12,000.
Officials say the seizure comes after an ongoing investigation by correctional officers and security intelligence officers.
