Contraband seizure at Renous prison

Nearly $190,000 in contraband was seized at the Atlantic Institution in Renous earlier this month.

On August 8th, staff at the maximum-security federal prison seized a package containing Crystal Meth, shatter, tobacco and cell phone accessories.

The Correctional Service of Canada estimates the institutional value of the seizures is $187,000.

The CSC says it has heightened measures and works with police to prevent contraband from entering into correctional facilities.
