The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has suspended the fish import licence of Costco after it determined adequate controls for food safety are not being reliably implemented by the company on a consistent basis.
The company may not import fish products into Canada while its import licence is suspended and the suspension will not be lifted until Costco has fully implemented the necessary corrective actions to the satisfaction of the Food Inspection Agency.
