Ward 2 councillor Susan Fullerton is speaking out about the amout of material that is ending up on Common Council’s plate.
Fullerton, who is not re-offering in the upcoming election, tells us council is being overloaded with material a lot of which are matters she believes the horseshoe shouldn’t be dealing with. She says they are presented with a 500+ page packet to study for every biweekly meeting it doesn’t give you enough time to think.
“You’re off in the weeds reading a 500 page packet which I don’t think serves us well,” says Fullerton, “so there are a lot of things in that regard that I would so like to change.”
Fullerton says she would like to take those things away from council and leave them with staff and have council paying attention to the really big, important things.
