The covered bridge at Hammond River that was damaged in October will stay.
Provincial Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Bill Fraser has tweeted the covered bridge on Route 860 at the end of French Village Road will be repaired with more details coming later today.
The bridge sustained major damage when an excavator fell through the decking. A recent public meeting was held in Hampton to guage public opinion.
