Crash Near Scoudouc Claims Life Of 18-Year-Old Woman; Leaves Two Others In Hospital

An 18-year-old woman has died after a car crash Saturday afternoon.

She was one of four occupants of a car that crashed on Highway 2 near Scoudouc around 1:45.

Officers say the car was eastbound when it struck the median, and rolled several times.

All four occupants were taken to the hospital – 2 of them had been ejected from the vehicle according to the RCMP.

The 18-year-old woman who died was taken to hospital in critical condition, but succumbed to her injuries yesterday.

Two passengers, a 17-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman remain in hospital in stable condition, while the 18-year-old male driver was treated in hospital and released.

An RCMP collision reconstructionist attended the scene, and the investigation into the cause is underway.
