Crews Continue Search For Entangled Right Whales

Marine conservation groups continue to try and disentangle two North Atlantic right whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

The Campobello Whale Rescue Team travelled to Shippagan to try and free a five-year-old bull that appears to be badly injured.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) said despite searching over the course of the weekend, they were unable to locate the whale.

A second entangled whale known as Snow Cone was spotted again over the weekend.

The team set out Monday morning to try and disentangle it further but were unable to spot it again.

DFO says efforts will continue to locate both whales and attempt disentanglement if possible.
