Firefighters being called to the second floor of the New Brunswick Museum at Market Square after an air circulation system that hadn’t been used in a while shorted and caused a small blaze that was quickly extinguished by people already there.
City Fire Platoon Chief Brian Wilson tells us nobody was hurt and there was no need for any evacuation of the building.
Fire crews went in and did some ventilation work, and Wilson says the smoke was removed from the building quite quickly.
The second floor of the building is the geology gallery.
