Cruise Season To Pick Back Up This Year

It was a slow cruise season in Saint John last year:ships didn’t start arriving until the late summer and early fall due to a hurricane that blew one ship off course, and then traffic from Carnival slowed down.

But Manager of Cruise Development at Port Saint John Betty MacMillan tells CHSJ News this year will be better. Last year there were only 49 ships compared to 61 this year.

MacMillan says Norwegian is picking up a lot of the business we’ve lost from Carnival. The first boat will arrive on May 5th.
