Tomorrow is the final day for New Brunswickers to file an appeal of their property tax assessments.
Service New Brunswick tells CHSJ News that they have received about 17,500 requests for review and of those, 42-percent have been processed. There were a total of 7100 requests for review in 2016.
The original March 31 deadline was extended because of the property tax assessment controversy.
SNB says all of those property tax assessments with formula errors have been corrected, SNB has also previously stated that it’s anticipated the process to get through all of the appeals will go into late this year and early next year.
