Deli Meat Recalled

Check your fridge for some types of deli meat that might be contaminated with listeria.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling several types of meat from the brands Levitts, Compliments, and The Deli-Shop.

It’s updating the recall, which first came out in late November, to add more information about the affected products.

The CFIA says recalled products should be thrown out or returned to the store where they were purchased.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.

The recall affects Ontario, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and the CFIA indicates it may be considered national.
