Delivery truck hits utility pole, fence in Saint John

No injuries were reported after a single-vehicle crash in uptown Saint John on Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at the corner of Union Street and Smythe Street sometime before 10:05 a.m.

A delivery truck struck a utility pole and the fence surrounding a Saint John Energy substation.

In a post on social media, police said no injuries were reported but wires were down in the area.

Smythe Street was closed to traffic between Union Street and Station Street but has since reopened.
