Developer Says Hotel Will Begin Construction Before End Of June

It’s been 2 years since the announcement of a Best Western Plus hotel being built on the St. Stephen waterfront.
President of Spur Line Properties Tom McFarlane tells us they put construction on pause after breaking ground last October, to aquire a better financial package for the hotel, as well as for winter construction reasons.
He says there will be construction on site by the end of June, and they are just re-setting the schedule with Bird Construction now. He says they still need to order materials and sign contracts, but the site trailers and fencing will be visible in the coming weeks.
The estimated ribbon sutting for the Best Western Plus is June 1st, 2016.
