Diesel Prices Jump Overnight In N.B.

After two straight days of decreases, diesel prices are up across New Brunswick.

The Energy and Utilities Board invoked its interrupter clause at 12:01 a.m. Saturday.

The new maximum price for diesel is just under $2.18 per litre, an increase of nearly 10 cents.

Saturday’s increase wipes out nearly half of the 22-cent decrease diesel users have seen this week.

Heating oil prices also climbed on Saturday to a new maximum of $1.93 per litre, an increase of nearly 10 cents.

The maximum price for regular self-serve gasoline remains unchanged at $2.02 per litre, while the most you will continue to pay for propane is $1.25.
