A nice donation has been made by the Saint John Sea Dogs Foundation to the Community Foundation for a bursary in memory of their late trainer.
The $7,000 is for the David ‘DK’ Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund, and it came from a 50/50 raffle during the recent Canada/Russia Series game at TD Station.
The Community Foundation along with #TeamDK says this is a great boost to the fund and they are really looking forward to the selection of the first bursary recipient in June of 2020 at St. Malachy’s Memorial High School.
All donations to the David ‘DK’ Kelly Memorial Bursary Fund will be held in perpetuity, never being spent.
The money earned will be used to support one or more St. Malachy’s Memorial High School graduating students annually who are pursuing post-secondary studies in a medical-related field.
