Dozens Ticketed During Latest Parking Ban

Dozens of Saint John residents woke up to find a ticket on their vehicle Thursday morning.

The city said 123 tickets were issued as part of Wednesday night’s parking ban in the South/Central Peninsula.

Spokesperson Lisa Caissie said 18 vehicles were also towed for impeding snow clearing operations.

Caissie reminded motorists that it is their responsibility to stay informed and move their vehicles off the street when parking bans are called.

The city said parking bans are required so crews can work as efficiently and safely as possible to clear streets and push snow back to the curb after a storm.
