Dozens Ticketed During Parking Ban

For the second night in a row, dozens of Saint John drivers were ticketed for not following the city’s overnight on-street parking ban.

Spokesperson Lisa Caissie said 74 tickets were handed out during Wednesday night’s parking ban in the south/central peninsula.

Caissie said 19 vehicles were also towed throughout the night for impeding snow clearing operations.

During an overnight parking ban in the south/central peninsula, vehicles are not to be parked on the street between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m.

A similar ban in the north, east and west areas of the city Tuesday night saw 111 tickets issued and 26 vehicles towed.
