8 drivers, in the space of just one hour, were ticketed for failing to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk on Churchill Boulevard by the “Y”.
Police Sergeant Chuck Breen says it was a costly mistake because the fine amounts to $172.50.
Police say they will be monitoring other crosswalks in the city and the crackdown will include drivers who talk and text on their cellphones while behind the wheel.
