Drug trafficking arrest in Saint John

A 35-year-old man will be in provincial court Monday to face several drug-related charges.

The man was arrested May 1 as part of a drug trafficking investigation by the Saint John Police Street Crime Integrated Enforcement Unit.

After the arrest, police seized several items, including:

  • 10.88 grams of raw fentanyl
  • 51 grams of fentanyl
  • 22.94 grams of cocaine
  • A cellphone
  • Digital scales
  • $1,195 in cash

Police said the estimated street value of the drugs is $21,204.

The man is facing charges of possession of fentanyl and cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000 and breach of a court order.
