E-M-O Warns Of Flooding And Power Outages

The Emergency Measures Organization has activated its Provincial Emergency Operations Centre to monitor any impact of this massive Nor-easter and to co-ordinate any response.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible as well as in streams, tributaries and rivers. Homeowners who have experienced flooding during heavy rain storms in the past through localized flooding are being advised to take all necessary precautions.

E-M-O also warning extended periods of freezing rain can also lead to power outages.

Saint John E-M-O is also monitoring the storm which is expected to continue through tonight. Last night in Saint John, Environment Canada is reporting more than 18 millimeters of rain fell.
