City fire crews called out around 4 this morning to a three storey apartment building at 215 Gilbert Street after smoke was detected.
The people who live there were evacuated and the fire department searched for the source. It was discovered a storage unit in the basement had caught fire and was put out quickly.
At around the same time, a hydro pole also catching fire on Murray Street by River Valley Drive.
