Vladimir Putin was re-elected as Russia’s president for the fourth time and many people are concerned about what that will mean for the western world.
Dr. Lee Windsor, Deputy Director of the Gregg Centre on War and Society at UNB tells CHSJ News ” they have to walk a careful line between destabilizing in the way that we have seen with the American election results in recent years, and also maintaining opportunities for cooperation like in the Middle East.
Despite all of the nationalist talk, Dr. Windsor says he doesn’t see a return to the “Mother Russia ” days of the Soviet Union when world domination was the main focus.
