EMO Keeping Close Watch On St. John River System

Emergency measures officials in New Brunswick are keeping a close eye on the St. John River system for signs of flooding.

Water levels on the lower part of the river will remain high in the coming days and no major increases are expected.

From Fredericton to Jemseg, EMO says water levels should stay above or near the flood stage for most of the week.

Further down the St. John River basin, residents should expect water levels to remain below or near flood stage.

Environment Canada is forecasting rain for later this week which is causing concern.
