EUB Delays Decision On NB Power Rate Hike

The Energy and Utilities Board will delay its decision on NB Power’s rate hike and request to implement smart meters.

NB Power was seeking a two per cent rate hike to take effect on April 1.

But the utility asked for a delay given the current situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement Tuesday, the EUB said it has agreed to adjourn the matter “until further notice”.
