For those who may not be familiar with us, KV Oasis is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring the next generation by fostering confidence, providing essential mental health support, imparting crucial life skills, and actively engaging in crime prevention initiatives.
What makes KV Oasis unique is that we bring a wide range of programs and resources together under one roof. We offer services such as free and low-cost counselling, tutoring, peer mentoring, leadership and confidence programs, life skills education, crime prevention initiatives, family supports, and community partnerships that help youth and families thrive.
Although our name reflects our roots in the Kennebecasis Valley, our reach extends well beyond Quispamsis. We proudly provide programs and supports to youth and families from Rothesay, Hampton, and communities in between. While many resources exist in Saint John, there is currently no other organization in our region offering the same combination of services and supports in one accessible location.
Like many non-profit organizations, we cannot rely on grants and funding opportunities alone to sustain our work. Those funding streams are competitive and often limited. We have learned that if we want to build a strong future for KV Oasis, we have to roll up our sleeves and work alongside our community to raise the funds needed to keep these programs available for local youth and families.
The Donut Run has become much more than a fundraiser. It is a celebration of community, connection, and the belief that when people come together, they can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
